Soundmind - I ground of the short eye guards off the shed antler.

I am going to try and get the spacers rough finished. I like to put two 3/32 inch pins from the guard to the elk. It will strengthen the handle. I want them to meet on the blue dots. First I penciled the outline on the center piece. I will drill the holes on the dots.

Next, drill the two holes in the center piece.

Line up and drill the top hole through the center piece into the forward piece.
Put in the 3/32 pin. Drill the bottom hole.
Put in the 3/32 pin. Drill the bottom hole.

Repeat the above steps with the center and rear piece. Should end up with it looking like this. I still need to drill the hole in the guard ( halfway only) and the elk about a half inch deep.

I can now epoxy the guard together. I will rough shape it when it cures. Tomorrow.

I noticed on this picture that there are a couple of gaps in the epoxy day on the left side. I will tear it apart, flatten them, and epoxy again.

That is a great fix. I am trading a damascus kiradashi for a post vice with a messed up spring. I think I will just search out a coil for it. Brilliant.

Because I had to re-epoxy the spacer I decided to add some bling to the guard, tonight. Copper inserts.
Marked the perpendicular line and the horizontal line using a scribe on blue dykem.
