Small. 100 Gallon according to the tag. What size is that.?
still should last awhile. It's important to stay warm in the shop, ain't it?Small. 100 Gallon according to the tag.
is that your propane for ht also?I think I burned ~80 gal in the shop last year. I put a 80k hanging heater. I went with the fan blown type heater cuz I figured it would warm it the quickest for short periods like in the evening after work. I did leave it on a couple of overnights when it was super cold and I had to be in there for sure. If I was heating full time, I'd probably do them tube style radiant heaters on the ceiling.
Eh, I'm good above 40F. But glue needs to come in the house either way, cuz I ain't heating it to 75F. Then we can fight with mama why there's an epoxy drip on the kitchen table. ;(still should last awhile. It's important to stay warm in the shop, ain't it?
Nope. I use a pair of 40's for the forge, and electric for the HT oven. I get prolly 24hrs+ out of a 40F if I'm forging. That's like a dozen sessions minimum, and that's only 3-4 times a month.is that your propane for ht also?
Have you chamfered all the holes? I've heard the holes can cause stress risers during ht if they are not chamfered. Blanks look good!Profiled a few more and cleaned up my first one. I need to figure out what needs to be done to clean them up before sending them off for heat treatment.View attachment 75585
