I just went from a 2x42 to a Reeder 2x72 over the summer, and it has made a world of difference in the grinding. I couldn't be happier. You will like it.

Just got this food warmer to be used as my quench tank. My thinking is that if the oil needs heated up for optimal ht, this is the best way I’ve seen to get it warm. I wanted parks 50 but couldn’t justify the price since I’m putting as much money as I can towards buying a new house. Should be closing on it this month! ... I hope the canola is a decent enough trade off. Certainly better than the used motor oil I’ve been using I think.

Canola oil will work fine. That’s what I used with 1084 when I first started. Warmed mine in an electric fryer. The food warmer is a great idea.

I am just about finished with a project a gentleman gave me from Louisiana. He gave me 4 hippo teeth to handle knives for he and his friends. The enamel was not very thick so they worked well. Three AEBL drop points and one CPM154 clip point.

Finishing up a knife for my son. He's heading to an out of state squirrel hunt and thinks he needs a new knife. He's my biggest collector. I think he has six or seven. This is only sanded to 220 and not great pics. Planning on finishing it tonight and getting better pictures.

I posted this awhile back when I was having trouble getting the finish I wanted on the bolster. Had some time to work on it and finally got a finish that I can live with.

I have that same leather stamp pattern. I never thought of stamping it in that direction

They’re getting better, .270 at the spine. 1084, she’s sharp. Will look good in a sheath on the opposite hip from my .45LC
