"The Montana Bladesmith"
Love it Gene!! "W" pattern is so versatile! Besides "canned" mosaics, for the past couple of years I seem to make more W patterns then anything.
I should have worked that grind line back another 1/2” and then cut a smaller Choil. I also don’t like the step on the spine and the handle and spine are misaligned vertically... bottom knife is the newest oneI’m still messing with Blade/handle shape combos, I keep making handles I like and blades that are somewhat ok, either they don’t mAtch or I don’t like an element in the design. Ricasso design is hit and miss over here
Edit to add that the bottom knife I was trying to go for the recurve lookI should have worked that grind line back another 1/2” and then cut a smaller Choil. I also don’t like the step on the spine and the handle and spine are misaligned vertically... bottom knife is the newest one
Finally started the post for my post vise. I'm going to add some variety of hardy and pritchel holes for top tools and punching in that slab. Got a ways to go yet. But it's a big chunk of wood and metal now, so what's not to like? View attachment 71664
Big Ol Serbian chef heh? What steel are you using?Forged this out tonight. Absolutely hate the design so please don’t kill me for that. It was a customer order. View attachment 71712

Nice. How was it working with that material? I’ve thought about trying some because I like the look.Several knife projects going on in the shop. Jere’s one, a fighter. 1084 juma scales with red liners. Nickel silver pins. 10 3/4 inches overall length which is a huge knife for me.

Where did you get your adapter? Mine improved after I put a new one on mine but I still have some runoutI put a new 2MT to JT33 arbor adapter in my drill press tonight, netting me ZERO (that's 0.0000") run out at my chuck. So perfect I can hardly stand it.
Just a stock hole drilling picture, not particularly relevant, but I know you folks like pics.
