The IW is among the best of the handle woods and that is a Iovey piece but my first reaction when I looked at the whole knife was to see the rather blunt top (curve wise) which might hamper the opening up process from my experience but obviousIy ymmv

Got two of the locks fitted after lunch after getting the jigs sorted.

No it is acrylic felt fitted to both the top and lower inserts. The spray used is to hold the felt to the boards and that is contact adhesive

Changed horses for a few hours and got the inserts lined.

I prefer them right round the 60 mark so they hold an edge.
