I struggled with this one and as you can see on the brass spacer I failed to close the gap when I glued it up. My mistake, I assumed all was 'home' but it wasn't .
Little things like this don't have to happen and I let it when all it would have taken was a few seconds to tap it firmly rather than give it a manual push. I'm disappointed but overall I like the looks and it is balanced perfectly at the guard. The handle is camel thorn I found at wood craft supply. OAL is 13" with a 7.5" blade.

Thats what is stopping my bowie kith build ! But I will persevere and beat it in the end. (I may end up making a half dozen guards or so.....)

I agree!! I'm on my 4th one for a Damascus drop point Hunter that was forged last year!! Driving me nuts!!
