Very sweet. I hope to get some shop time to work on mine this weekend. At least I heat treated it during the week.

That looks really nice. I didn't think about working on my scales while waiting for mine to come back from heat treat. Now I won't have time until the end of next week.

Well boys, the best laid plans of mice and men oft go awry. Ran into a little set back with the scales. I wound up having the bolsters too short for my liking. Redoing a set in the same style with some nicely figured stabilized oak. I’ll think they will look good if I don’t mess them up again. Be patient and stay tuned.

Put together another set of scales over the weekend. African Ebony with stabilized Oak. Red and black liners and spacers. What do you guys think? I'll try to pay a little more attention and get it right this time.

I think they will be fine. If I’m not happy when I get it together I’ll burn’em off and start again. Done that before.

Got the scales roughed out and the blade heat treated and tempered. Here’s a few pics before heat treating. Hopefully I’ll start the hand sanding tomorrow or Monday.

That’s looking mighty nice, sir! Have you seen Josh Gallardo’s knives? If not, google him. His knives are really nice, and y’all have a similar style. Great work!
