Thank you! I was experimenting a little with those two. Both are 1095. The far right was deep etched in ferric multiple times. It's a little rougher than I intended but came out kinda cool in the end. The one on the left was a light ferric etch followed by mustard applied with a q-tip.Those are really nice Josh! Really diggin' the one on the far left and the one on the far right. What are the blade steels and finishes on those two?
Another fine mess you've gotten us into Ollie!
The rookie is pushing further out of the comfort zone. A bit thick but leaves room to fix screw ups. .110 AEBL 11.5 OAL 6.5 Blade chef knife the wife liked how her moms felt but hated it was dull.
Gotta keep momma happy w my hobby. Lol

John, its an exact copy of the knife her mom has. I am gonna talk to her about it a lil more an see about doing away with it since its a pain to clean up in the small crevice by the transition of curve to straight.BTW, Walt- what's the idea behind the metal tab at the heel of the blade?
I called them yesterday and it sounds line they won't have any for a LONG time. I'm trying to decide what to do now. I use a lot of it.John, its an exact copy of the knife her mom has. I wanted 070 for fillet and boning knives but Aldo was out at valentines day. Lol

Aldo seems to be the only one who has AEBL in 48" L others have it but in 12 to 18"L. You might try seeing if your local steel supplier can get a sheet of .070 and shear it for you in desired widths.I called them yesterday and it sounds line they won't have any for a LONG time. I'll look into that but local suppliers haven't been very helpful in the past. You're doing better than I am if you've found .070 in any length. I can't find any at all lol.Aldo seems to be the only one who has AEBL in 48" L others have it but in 12 to 18"L.
