That would be Ca Claro Walnut scales with dyed/stabilized maple burl accents. The claro walnut really turns out nice. I've made quite a few knives with it and they always look great.

I learned something today... there is a dark walnut that comes from California, pretty cool looking.
What is the bolster material SS or Nickle Silver? Pinned & peened?

I am going to try to make one here soon - I grabbed the foam and some kydex and the rivet things - we shall see how it goes - can't hurt - any tips? - It will most likely be very similar to yours - that looks like a taco??? Or am I not seeing it right? It looks great - I like the simplicity
