What's going on in your shop?

It's a hidden tang, so it wouldn't be bad if I bring it in further. I posted it on a few FB groups and it was like 12:1 people preferred it out with the full choil. I kinda like the look in farther, so I will probably do that with some Damascus blades I am working on.

Re: stag coloring. Much of the sambar is treated with potassium permanganate prior to cutting and shipping to control bacteria formation. It is a deep purple color and a strong oxidizer. That combo imparts a really deep color on the stag.

Its typical use is in water treatment.

Yep. This. The purple color is only when it’s wet.
 
Got sick of undoing Dewalt saw off swag table (cheap one without cut-out) to change belts. Finally made my own from their idea.
