OUCH!!!! Praise God that hasn’t happened. Those things weigh a ton.If you ever drop a drill press vise on your toe you’ll never were soft shoes again in the shop.

Oooo yeah I bet not! How did that happen?!If you ever drop a drill press vise on your toe you’ll never were soft shoes again in the shop.
It’s been a few years but it wasn’t bolted down and I didn’t have the blade secured in the vise. There’s a thing called blade helicoptering - panic ensued and the next thing I felt was the vise on my foot.Oooo yeah I bet not! How did that happen?!

You never forget your first helicopter blade!I had a blade helicopter and it hit my fingers. Luckily for me it was the back unsharpened part of the blade!
Or your second, or third if you don't learn the first few times! I try to make sure I drill holes so if it does helicopter, I get hit with the spine and not the edge. I also know to go slower and when I hear the metal sound change pitch when it's close to breaking through, I am really careful. I have had the drill press lift my small vise before, too.You never forget your first helicopter blade!
Love it! How did you get the texture on the flats. I’m guessing 6.5 -7” OAL?
