What's going on in your shop?

I ground a big notch in the back of my thumb today, between the first knuckle and my wrist. I started to grind and realized my water bucket wasn't in place so I grabbed it and stuck it under there. Straight into the edge of a 50 grit belt. It sucked. 10 hours later it still sucks.
Youch! I know that feeling

You say this and everyone looks down at their hands, with empathy and sympathy, wishing you to heal well.

Ouch! I've bumped a belt a few times but never removed much skin. Hope you heal fast and well!

Going on a little Japanese excursion here.... this all started with me wanting a nakiri for the kitchen. I cut out and profiled some blades for a couple of hours after work for the last 2 nights and ended up with this pile. They are all 0.093" AEB-L. Some of the smaller ones still need a to have a little more belly ground into them and the small nakiri's need some corner rounding like the larger ones.

That's a nice space! Looks bigger than my garage and I have to move everything around on wheels so I can get the car in every night...

Nice looking beginnings opaul, don't remind me about moving milling machines. I had help getting this on the truck but was by myself unloading it, it took some creative thinking to make it work.
