Framelock in the works. Progress pics tomorrow! I also designed several other folders that I'm prototyping at the moment (6 others to be precise).
Prototyping might be the wrong word as I'm doing everything by hand and adjusting my cad drawings as I build.
Also I made a bit driver to get back in the swing of things on the lathe as it had been a while.

I’m making cookies! Cookies from birch bark, for a knife I’ll make when it gets a little nicer outside. These pucks are about 2” in diameter, I like to have a lot of material to work with because it’s not uncommon for me to screw something up. Im gluing them up into about 3/4” thick spacers.

My hats off to you. Great work. I wouldn’t be disciplined enough to do that. The iron wood is beautiful.
Got to use my buddies press last weekend! 16 layers of 1084 and 15N20, stretched out to around 13", but went too aggressive on the last inch at the tip, so I will cut that off. Going to grind it clean, cut into thirds, restack and draw out 2 more times hopefully! The press isn't as easy to use as I thought it would be. It was hard to get a rhythm going so the bar was even; I kept leaving steps in it. I can see why a power hammer would be a bit easier to use until you get used to the controls with the press to keep a bar even!
The little piece at the end I am going to try to forge it out into a small knife. May even forge out, cut and re stack and do a san mai, just to practice forge welding! I have some Apex Ultra, W2, 52100 and 80CRV2 I can use for the core.

it does become a "process" so you can keep track of where you are with each blade - what's done/not done, what needs fixed, etc. These large batches can be tiresome for sure.
Got a few done and others almost done!
225mm 80CRV2 gyuto from 1/8" barstock, full height convex grind and laminated wood and old Ivory paper micarta. Customer wanted his Hawaiian middle name in katakana (Japanese script for western words) on the blade, too.
Guy wanted a knife for a RMEF Charity Auction, so I went with 62 HRC, 5/32" 52100, White guard/liners/pin and blue AmeraGrip for the handle. Pictures with an old Marbles knife that was the inspiration for the blade shape, just up sized!
Was working on another FBBO, but the belt caught and flung the blade into my metal water tank. Thought I saw a crack, so I knocked the tip off with a hammer, grain looks awesome and re ground it so it's like a warncliff now. G10 Fingerprint handles, toxic green pins:
80CRV2 EDC 3, 3" cutting edge, 3.5" tip to handle with black/green linen micarta handles and blaze orange pins and liners. Going to a Good Cause Waffle (GCR) when I get the sheath and etching done!

I haven't been out in the shop in several months. Had a bit of a set back on my health. But doing better. So here is a knife that I'm working on for my step-son. The blade has a bit of a haze to it. I think it's left over from being in an acid bath too long? Not sure. But I'm having to do extra sanding to get rid of it. The scales are Koa. I haven't decided on liners yet. Any suggestions?

I got this far with this blade. I rusted this like crazy to get a gnarly looking texture on it, then the bevel was going to be polished. Cleaned all the rust off, and now it has a hole. I ground a wide fuller into this, the web of which was .010 thick. Guess that was too thin. It was forged from Apex Ultra. Guess that’s the way the cookie crumbles.
