The night before last year's Blade Show in The Pit, I met and made a new friend, Canadian collector Roger Pinnock. It was then Roger saw something I had made, a new tomahawk model I called the Warhawk.
Roger played with this thing for about 10 minutes, and I could tell by the smile on his face that he liked it2thumbs!
Shortly after Blade,Roger sent an email inquiring about the price of this model. After a couple of emails an order was placed, with delivery around the first of March the following year.
Here is what I made for Roger, and he had it shot by Coop.
The haft is 19 inches of some of the most spectacular curly maple I have ever seen, and the forged textured head is 9 inches of Ford pickup leaf spring steel.
When Roger's spot in line came up, he asked if I could make a display stand for this piece. Sure I can!
The stand is made from Mississippi River driftwood, an elk antler tine, and a piece of forged keystock.
I am very happy with the way this set turned out, and so was Roger2thumbs!A large matching belt knife and sheath will soon join this set!
