Gadzooks! New forum software is installed

I keep checking the remember me button but still will not keep me logged on. I don't know if it's my computer or Firefox setting but it just started and this is the only forum on the web doing it. I looked in my Firefox settings and don't know what else to do, can anyone help?

I have the exact same problem and setup.
I was able to be auto-logged on every time and now can't get it to stick...I'm looking in cookie setting and whatnot, but haven't fixed it yet...
 
I'm not thrilled. The default layout is really cluttered-up to my eye. Doesn't seem to want to "remember me". WHY change simple things like where to find your User CP etc? It will likely be better when I learn to navigate it properly and reset my settings. I sincerely hope the upgrade helps the forum run smoother; but I'll reserve judgement until the bugs are worked out and I can fathom how to use it as simply as I did before.

Upshot is, it's more work for me and I'm not seeing any benefits as a user. The last thing I want to do is spend time re-learning how to find my PM's or the list of new posts.

It wasn't broke, why'd ya "fix" it? Sorry Boss, no disrespect intended.
 
I do not like the new format but I will get used to it in a couple days. Knife Dogs is still in there somewhere, I just have to learn to find it. I assume the change was a need to thing and not a want to thing.

For the most part, the response has been good. There are bugs to work out and this may take time, but it will be better in the long run. I for one love the Night Vision skin, I can see it better than anything else on my computer.

And.........this is a progression and it's not going away. Those involved will do everything they can to clarify and rectify things as fast as possible. Opinions are great, but I wouldn't waste a lot of time blasting this on a thread, when it's ultimately for the better.

I say trust the Bossman. He has gotten us a long way in a short time. I don't see us going backwards here.

Well, if nothing else it sure got us talking. When have we ever had over 66 posts in one day to a new thread.
I didn't like the look at first, now I've changed to grey and like it better.
I had trouble with the spell check..deleted my message.
I think that it is just going to take getting used to it.
You can certainly tell that Tracy has been watching this and spending time working on it.
 
For my tired old eyes Teal works out better. i am happy to see now that the listing of how many are viewing is not under the other things on each thread listing. it's different but I am getting used to it.
 
So far I like it ... Sure it's gonna take a wee bit of time to adjust ....
I like having choices .. the more the better ... I didn't use all the old forum had to offer .. probably won't again .​
To say that another forum changed and you haven't gone back .. Oh well ..​

I am having the same problem. When I arrive on the front page of knifedogs.com it doesn't show me as logged in at all yet when I select a sub forum it will know that I am logged in. It seems that there are some bugs with the front page showing the status of being logged in. I am using Firefox 3.6.8.

I understand how we all thought it wasn't broken. That is a testimony to Tracy and his team. The sad truth is that there are lots of people on the Internet with nothing better to do than mess with other people's PCs and software -- just for grins. You have to upgrade software before someone rude finds you with the old version and all its vulnerabilities.

I've checked those Firefox settings and Firefox has my username and password remembered for knifedogs. When I log on it tells me I'm not and when I log in it tells me I used the wrong user name or password but the window there for me to try again has my user name and password already there and all I have to do is click it to come on. Aggravating to say the least when you bouncing from one site to the next.
 
Guys, the forum is making these changes for the benefit of the members. It will be faster and more user friendly. We will get it stabilized soon and will be looking to add a new theme "look and feel" to the site. It will take a little time. We will not be a slow as BP mind you. Your input as to what you would like to have and see is valuable. If you see a problem by all means let us know. Thank you for you help and patience in this transformation.
 
Well after this much time with the new forum, I have to say I do really like it. Everything I need is in the top right corner, New posts are easy to find under the Vbulletin banner and I thought up an awesome color shceme(your welcome all :) )
Its working great from my computer running chrome, firefox, or Explorer, and it work good on my phone also.

The only things I find that are not right is:

When I click on new post it gives an organized list, There are some from weeks ago mixed in with todays.
Also when I click on relpy to thread it does not go to the reply screen, I personally do not like using the quick reply.

I am sure these are just bugs/ settings that need to be squared away.

I think its AWESOME!!!
