Here is one I finished up last month. It was up on another forum and after reading some of the critiques I let my wife have a look at it and of course she had to agree with the others so I did a little redesign.
The length is 21" of oak. The hand forged head is 8 1/2" long with a cutting edge of 4 5/8". The head is mounted through the haft and secured with four steel pins and leather. The grip is also leather. There are some brass tacks and Native American symbols and some I just made up. The bead on the lanyard is deer antler.
 
Larry, I learned this technique From John Cohea, and I am sure there are others out there that do it this way also.
Raguel3, The steel is forge finished and antiqued 5160.
