I know some makers have done it in there kiln you would just need to play with the temp range to get the color you are looking for . It should be more consistent then a torch . Jason Good Jgoodknives on Instagram and Facebook

At what point would you put the steel in the oven ? Would you wait tell the oven came up to temp or would you put it in before hand ?

Is it safe to have your oven is the same room as your grinder ? Or will the dust ruin the electronics .

Here's what I've been working on. Made from 5/32 1095 59-60 Rockwell it has 416 SS dovetailed bolsters and redwood burl with SS pins and tube. It's 10" overall with a 5 1/4" edge
