TUS Stencil Cracks & finger nail polish?

Some Windex DOES NOT contain ammonia- which does the neutralizing-- have to get the original formula if using Windex. But I find the actual TUS neutralizer works great.

TUS Stencil Cracks & finger nail polish?

I use TUS for my stencils- used one for over 25 applications- only changed it because I had them shrink the size down to a smaller design. Have done over 25 more with the new one and still going. I do AC/DC etch- to get a recessed impression and then to darken. I use a 5 amp -12 v power supply...

Heat Treated Stainless Steel for stock-removal kitchen knife

I have used Texas KnifeMaker for HT- the cheapest but had some inconsistency in hardening results. Just got 4 blades of Nitro V back from Paul Bos HT- very pleased with the results. These guys are legends of the Heat Treat business- not the cheapest but great service and first time results...

    Micarta/G10 handle pin concerns

Agree with the above replies. I usually use a countersink behind the bolster or scales on the whole to create an extra recess for epoxy to build up around the pen.

    Epoxies and unheated shops

I turn on an oil filled space heater early in the morning morning every day. Set it to 70 degrees and warms to whole garage nicely in just a few hours. If I am working out there that day, I switch it on again a few times.

    Bowie grinds

I do all my grinding post HT. Even though this is thicker stock than I usually use, u was still planning to do all grinding after the HT. I will plan on having lots of new belts on hand! I was also considering grinding the swedge first on a flat platen Seen a few videos showing that way...

    Bowie grinds

I know the KITH knives this year were Bowie's, so I wanted to ask some advice as I will be sending 4 out for HT next week and then working on them. We're most of you grinding the bevels using a contact wheel or the flat platen? Also, is it better to grind the main bevel or the swedge first...
