Micarta/G10 handle pin concerns

Hey guys, have any of y’all fastened handles with pinstock of micarta or G10? I’m curious as to the best way to securely and permanently fasten the handle to the knife using these since they cannot be both epoxied and peened like I do with metal pinstock. I really like the look that can be gotten with this pin material-like the Fiddleback Forge guys do....
Is that just a epoxy bond that I’m relying on there? Maybe I answered my own questions but I’m a bit concerned about the security of that method. Should it be a concern? I’m using West Systems G-Flex. Any tips or suggestions? Thanks fellas.

I use them too. For added peace of mind, I put some drill starts on the faces of the scales as well to provide places for the epoxy to grab in addition to holes in the tang. I figure that's gotta add some shear strength.
