I have looked at it as close as I can. I was interested in its ability to lock in place and if there was any give to it. If it is a solid unit, it will be my next purchase for sure.

I had the same problem here in eastern Oregon. My quench bucket froze. I replaced it with a mix of water and antifreeze. No more issues with that!

I agree...CPM D-2 is my personal favorite! But I'm also enjoying the carbon steels. My understanding of cryo is that it completes the martinsite transformation. These steels are expensive in comparison. My thought on that is if you don't do a sub quench then your not getting your money's worth...
