Lol, Minecraft is a kids video game. Though also played by adults. Maybe ask your kids/grandkids.
just goes to show ya - I never even heared of it.Minecraft is a video game. Probably the most popular video game ever created. If I remember correctly Lapis Lazuli is one of the prizes you 'collect' or obtain as you play the game.
Interesting idea.Saw this on a video I was watching. Blade taped to prevent accidental scratches while sharpening. Probably not necessary on a small knife but could come in handy on bigger blades. This is staged - I didn’t try it yet.

I do this on all my blades that have an etched finish (damascus & hamons). Once I have the handles glued on, I always tape the blades up. When I get ready to sharpen, I just leave it on the etched blades.Saw this on a video I was watching. Blade taped to prevent accidental scratches while sharpening. Nice knife!View attachment 81492
I pretty much wrapped up this yanagiba today. Waiting for the lacquer to dry on the saya so I can finish that. CPM154 blade, stabilized ebony, and heat colored 416 stainless steel make up this knife. It’s a takedown, and it’s my first yanagiba. Grinding that urasuki is a pain in the butt.
Didn’t know cedar could be stabilized. I like the look.Todays project. Very interesting handle. Red cedar with sapwood. Stabilized. Not sure I have ever seen one like it.
Heikki that is a killer piece. I dig it!!Working on my 3rd hidden tang. Next step is to decide how to patina the bronze.

K&G stabilized it. Like 10 years ago. When I started into knifemaking. It is from my late fathers sawmill. I guess I was waiting for the right time to use it.Didn’t know cedar could be stabilized. I like the look.
Thanks! It gave me some anxiety for a bit, but it’s sorted out nowHeikki that is a killer piece. I dig it!!
