I just finished my second dagger.been working on it off an on for a few months. I like doing these just not all at once, kind of a side project when working on other knives. The blade is 1075 with a hamon/ clay quench. the guard and pommel are mild steel and blued. OAL is 14 in.
Blade is 91/2 in.

GREAT looking knife overall, but the hamon REALLY looks great the way is flows down the center line!

Me thinks there is more to tell though... Not talking about the "ring" spacer above the guard, but the handle piece that looks like damascus, what is it?

Nice work!

Charlie

the handle is two pieces of stabilized maple separated by ss the dark one was colored when it was stabilized ( not by me ).The ring spacer is mild steel but not blued. thanks Murph and Charlie for the comments ...........Steve

Thanks for all the kind words. The hamon turned out. I was trying to get sharper edges on the hamon to look like fire ( kind of a torch looking knife) ...Steve
