Thanks Dennis. Being retired certainly helps.
I will say the TX90 is a great grinder. I’ve started grinding a little differently. Travis (TX90) suggests using the wheel and tool rest to do the initial grind - hollow grind. Then switching to the flat pattern to complete a full flat grind. I’ve done a few blades this way and like it. I’ve done several larger blades that way. Small blades aren’t worth the tooling arm change outs. But I can see where it saves wear in the platten and sanding belts.

Something about the hamon knife is just right. Like I am drawn to it. Shape, color, hamon, it all works together.
