My best to date

[Travis Fry]

This is #58 or so, and my first with double bolsters and hidden pins. Scales are stabilized amboyna burl from Rob at Bad Dogs Burl Source. Bolsters are 304 stainless, and the blade is 1080. It's my best so far, and I really enjoyed pushing myself.

OAL: 7.2 | Blade: 3.5.

Thanks for all the kind words folks! Like I said, I really enjoyed this one, and it got that extra little bit of effort that other blades sometimes don't. It isn't flawless, but it would take a knifemaker to find the defects. Future versions will have a slightly larger handle; it looked right in the drawing and even with the profiled blank, but once I got everything assembled it seemed a little small.

One other thing: I can't say enough good stuff about Rob and his wife at Bad Dogs Burl Source. They're great to work with and have good prices for great materials. And they're from Texas, even though they don't live here anymore.
