How do you do your makers mark? Is the steel red hot, do you have a jig to make it stamp straight?

I think this is 6 coats of Tru-oil. Maybe 7. I will let it dry really well and wax/buff the handle. Almost time for a sheath. Going walleye fishing this weekend so it might be delayed a few days.

This is spectacular Mr. Morland! I am so sorry I have not kept up with and commented as much as I should. I have been very busy. So happy you found a use for that bocote! That Hamon is stunning. It always amazes me how straight you get your basket weave.

I have a couple of secrets for you also. Should be finished up in a week or two. I will probably mail it to you early. Just in time for hunting season...
BTW: The bocote was a dream to work with. Hope you have some more.

it seems no matter how straight I get even the first few lines I always have one or two spots that get wonky. Just need to slow down some I guess.
