I was first bitten by the knife gremlin when I was 8 as my Grandpa was teaching me how to sharpen my first knife. I have been a knife nut ever since. It had never dawned on me to make my own knives until this past year. I met a guy who makes some really nice knives and was willing to take me under his wing and teach me the in's and out's of knife making. Needless to say, the knife gremlin hit a major artery this time! :lol:
I've got several years of welding experience and know my way around a machine shop fairly well.
My big problem, I know how to use the machines, I just don't have them at the house or easy access to them since it was in previous jobs that my experience comes from.
I just received my plans for the NWGS from Tracy and am looking forward to this build. It might take me a bit to get it done as finances are tight so bear with me on this guys.
