Just finished this one. 7 3/8" long with a 4 1/8" handle.
The blade is cable with a little nickel added. The handle is alligator leg bone with buffalo horn and red, white and blue vulcanized spacers. The guard is from a deer leg bone.

Great job, Wade! Love the damascus. If I see any 3 legged gators wandering around I'll know who did the amputation.;)

Hey Vern,
I use Fiebings black and brown leather dye, not the oil base.
First I dye it black then let it dry. Sand it down leaving the cracks and crevices black. Next dye it brown let it dry a couple of minutes and then to the buffer. I use tripoli buffing compound, the brown stuff. Here you need to watch carefully because as you buff it will take the dye off. You just buff until you get the look you want. Finish with a clean buffing wheel.
I practiced on a couple of pieces before I put it on the handle.
Good luck. Wade
