I like the lighter one on the right. But if you feel another one will make the knife better, please feel free.Mark, which one of these did you like?
It will be a little while before i can get this finished, i have a friend coming in this weekend, i am taking him gator hunting next week and I have to get everything ready for him.

I’m right handed. And yes. I work with mostly boys with behavior and anger issues. That knife is beautiful. I will treasure it. I can’t wait to get it.Mark, I started on the sheath today, are you right or left handed? I am sure you will be carrying it around at work! HaHaHa!!!
Way better than my expectations. Thanks for the WIP , I’m enjoying it.Started on the sheath today
Thank you!Dang - that is one beautiful weapon there Benjy. The filework on the spine is the shizniz for sure. Nice work sir.
So nice I love your detail. Even that little dip in the sheath where the scale begins. So the knife sits nice nice.I have some color on the sheath and got her sewed up today!
It depends on the maker. However in general I start with a 'largish' knife and end up with a 'smallish' knife.Dang. So I have what is probably a stoopid noob question: Is it any harder/easier to make a large knife like that as opposed to what I would call a ‘normalish’ sized hunter??
I tend the other way - always leaving some to ‘fix it if I need it’. End up always a tad bigger..It depends on the maker. However in general I start with a 'largish' knife and end up with a 'smallish' knife.
Sean you never fail to entertain. It depends on the maker. However in general I start with a 'largish' knife and end up with a 'smallish' knife.
Just a lot more sanding!!! and make sure it's not bigger than your quench tank and your heat treating equipment!!!!!Dang. So I have what is probably a stoopid noob question: Is it any harder/easier to make a large knife like that as opposed to what I would call a ‘normalish’ sized hunter??
