Finally back to playing with knives! I have the liners on the scales and they are shaped. I just finished epoxying them to the blade. Tomorrow I will shape the handle!

I’m right handed. And yes. I work with mostly boys with behavior and anger issues. That knife is beautiful. I will treasure it. I can’t wait to get it.

So nice I love your detail. Even that little dip in the sheath where the scale begins. So the knife sits nice nice.

Dang. So I have what is probably a stoopid noob question: Is it any harder/easier to make a large knife like that as opposed to what I would call a ‘normalish’ sized hunter??

It depends on the maker. However in general I start with a 'largish' knife and end up with a 'smallish' knife.

I tend the other way - always leaving some to ‘fix it if I need it’. End up always a tad bigger..

Just a lot more sanding!!! and make sure it's not bigger than your quench tank and your heat treating equipment!!!!!
