Sorry Ed wrote better details. Please reread. So I have worked out all the other details trial and error. And reading books, watching vids, buying dvds, just looking for better direction on this detail.

So maybe old and hashed out. But pressed pivot bushing in one liner. Then how tight or its it till the screw bottoms out. I have been trying threaded bushings/pivots. Screws on both liners no press fit. Bronze washer. Blade plus washers screw both sides in liners. Please what am i missing. Its...

Hello so this is where i am at. You just use a threaded pivot how long does the pivot extend into the liners or just on one side ?? Would help if someone in sc would open up their shop like the westerner do for each other.

Great question THIS is exactly where i am at. Please what did you finally do. for me i was using threaded bushing BUT did not press fit in liner. So what was your final length. Blade plus washer plus ???????????

And i have another question on style of pivot AND how to tighten and not pinch the blade and liners.

I know this is an older survey and i am just starting folders and just NOW getting to the questions on the pivot but i would want is consistent parts and not plus and minus .0005 but consistent with in a total tolerance of .0005.
