Moderators moderate - policy of KnifeDogs

Class is not outmoded, respect is not outdated.
Having it for yourself and others is both expected and appreciated here.
Thats why this has become homebase among the forums I choose to be a part of.

I like boobs, don't get me wrong, but the other night I was surfing the knife forums and was reading about a new grinder when my 11 year old happened to lean over my shoulder. She asked me why I was looking at boobs. The guy's avatar was a topless bimbo. Pretty funny until you have to explain it to your kids. I am glad yall decided to run your forum this way. I believe any forum owner should allow whatever they want as to content; as a father I'm glad I have a choice....

Thanks
I like 'em, as much as the next guy myself. I cuss like a sailor too often but there also needs to be a place, like this, that is professional, G rated with no drama and respect. We won't be changing that. It seems to be working.

Kudos to Tracy and all the admins and mods.
You have put together not only a great site, but one that is work friendly and a great place for those of us that are trying to learn.
Keep up the good work!

I enjoy the atmosphere here, like how people can joke around, but nothing too serious (or at least it won't last long if it is) that feelings could get really hurt or ruin any reputations.

I think it is a fair rule/standard of practice. This from someone who has had a post "Moderated". (I was, without being too specific, trying to let knifemakers know about someone who is/was Allegedly misappropriating other makers designs) I have absolutely no hard feelings about this Moderation. The post was deleted (with a note saying why)and that's that. At the time I didn't think I was doing anything wrong,But can understand why.
I love this place! It is the only knife related Forum that I go to.

Just the way I like it and one of the reasons this has become my "Main" place to post and read.

I have enough drama in real life and I don't need to constantly see off color posts about some nastiness I don't care about.

I'm here for knives and friendship and I find them both plentiful here.

Big thanks to Tracy for giving me a nice place to relax and enjoy my hobby.

This is a real nice forum and I've become more acquainted with some makers that I didn't know much about before. As a collector and not a maker I find all the shop talk a little boring to me and wish there was a little more variety of sub forums with other things to talk about. Doesn't have to be drama. Just my .02 cents.

Larry, I believe Tracy is referring to the kind of subforum like the Whine and Cheese or the Good, Bad, and Ugly (on BladeForums) that have little to no moderation that he will not support on these forums and can present huge issues to having a G rated environment.

Larry, welcome! As a knifemaker I am hoping to see more collectors get involved with the forum. After all, you are who we really want to see our knives.

I personally like the fact that it is all knives as I think some forums get too diluted.

I like the atmosphere here as well. I believe the dog run was for off topic stuff and it's good to have that on a site. It would be cool to see more women folk on the forum, to ever have that on a knife, gun, or hunting forum they need more to talk about than knives.

I visit a Duck hunting forum that is very moderated. At least down to PG. I believe the PG rating is one of the things that has made that site grown to receive the #1 rated of the 100 top waterfowl sites. Along with that everyone talks about everything pretty much from favorite shotgun, politics, where should we go on our second honeymoon, to replacing carpet in the house. It's no telling what will be on the main board over there and everyone gets along. This site reminds me of what that site was when it first started. I believe knife dogs forum will go far.

Same here , I have been waiting for a place like this for a long long time. When I found out about it , I immediately joined and supported it.
