Hey everyone, Jeff here from Morehead, Ky, I'm new to the forums and love reading all of this material. I'm an avid antique knife collector but have never made any knives before which I'm trying to learn with books and such. I'm also looking for a mentor in Kentucky that I can learn how to make knives if anyone out there in Kentucky would like to teach me what they know. Thanks guys, looking forward to meeting everyone and learning!

Jeff

Hello and welcome to KnifeDogs.

I would be happy to show you the basics of knifemaking but I'm pretty far from Morehead.

Gil Hibben also offers a weeklong knifemaking class at his shop in LaGrange. It's kind of pricey but it covers everything from desinging and making a knife to making the sheath. That's how I got started.

Hi Jeff and welcome to KD. You sure are at the right place for briliant info on knife making.
