I just couldn't stand the no shine from the oil finish. so I had to shine it up a bit and put an epoxy finish on it. now im happy

I tried a plasma cutter once. wont do it again. took forever to grind the hard edge off. I now just use a portaband. cut the length and corners off. then finish up on a 36 grit belt. have done around 7 knifes this way and the 36 is still kicking. if im making a knife with a 1 1/4 wide blade I...

turned out ok. grinds are not showing as good as last time. I may mirror finish the bevels and leave the upper as is maybe that will make it show more. the wood sure is pretty and should really shine after a couple thin coats of ca and a good polishing.
