Is it any good?
Is it any good?
Thanks. Let us know, ok?Well, it's in my Amazon cart when I order next time. It's probably no Fluke, but others seem to have good results with the cheap stuff.
But it only goes up to 572 *F? Isn't that way too low?
I have one of these and I am having a hard time understanding how to read it, I cant get a normal temp reading.
What do you mean by "normal?"I have one of these and I am having a hard time understanding how to read it, I cant get a normal temp reading.
I don't know how to explain. When I put it in the forge, at welding temps it registers at 300 degrees or so, like its measuring the climb not the actual temp. What do you mean by "normal?"
I ordered a seperate K rated thermocouple"The included probes are rated for (-) 50 to (+) 300 C. (The actual instrument has a much wider range.)"
So maybe the machine can go higher than 752 but not the probes or something? I don't know. Mr. Buescher might though.
Soundmind: I'm fairly close to there I may have to go check it out, thanks!
Its the one I am already using, IDK what the heck is wrong with itGood deal, Jon. Let us know how it works, please.
my friend stopped doing that for the most part because he kept breaking the ceramic all the timeI use a digital thermometer as shown in OP (not same, but similar) and it works good. The TC supplied with meter is low temp, but this one works pretty good: https://www.ebay.com/itm/223694342231? but this one is better, it will last longer: https://www.ebay.com/itm/264093043971
The first one would be ok to stick in forge, check temp and remove. The last one linked will last longer, but be better if it had a ceramic sheath for protection if left in forge all time.
