Steel to waterjet?

Hello!

I'm going to have a few designs waterjet cut.

I'm living in Finland and as I see it I have two options, buy steel and have it watercut in Finland by a local company or buy steel and cut steel in usa and save some on the shipping.

I think It would be cheapest to have it cut in USA but when I was looking for steel sheets I found a huges difference in prices between different companies. For example did I founf out that ats-34 is cheaper then 01 at admiral, I also found out that I could get more then twice as much d2 from another company then I could get O1 from admiral.

Where do I get the best deals for steel in USA?

Also how big sheets would you suggest using? 6X36 or 6x72 or even bigger?
I will probably cut quite many at the same time, maybe 100-200 blanks?

Jakob, the best I have found for tool steel is http://www.metricsunlimited.com/
Ask for Nick and tell him I sent you. You might also try http://www.nsm-ny.com/ for 154cm like we talked about. They also have D-2.

Thanks fo you input.

nsm do have good prices on d2. I'm still waiting for a quote for 154cm and 3v.

What about Mcmaster carr? They do have good prices on o1 and A2 but they have only 4inch wide plates wich are a bit to small. I would like 36/72X8.

Where do you find carpenter steel?
And admirals price for ats-34 isn't that bad...
