I knew some makers who used to use the Rite dye on cow horn should work on giraffe.I've been experimenting with dying giraffe bone. I've used leather dye, Rit dye, Keda dye and Minwax stain. I may have to try some Potassium Permanganate on it too.
I think it is jigged bone - good catch. A stock image of joined bone with a gloss finish.

It is. Good eye Dennis. I’m fixing to order some. They are located in NC.OPaul that looks like amber dyed stag from Culpeppers.
