Question on Anodizing?

First of all,I am using the TSP solution. At first I
was not getting anything close to the colors I have
seen. After reading a little more I added more TSP
to my solution.I kept adding it as long as it would desolve,
which was the entire box.I then tried it and my colors
look great, only thing is now, when I get up to around 70v
it starts to burn the liner. Any idea what I am doing wrong?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

God bless,Keith

I have really poor luck with TSP and high voltage colors.

A little dishwasher detergent works better for me.
I dissolve it in a pot of boiling water, filter through a coffee filter, and add that concentrate to my bath...

I've never had a problem with TSP and distilled water burning anything, even at high voltages. I've never come close to using an entire box of TSP though.

OK,you may be right.I use a hook,I made one similar to
the one Ed is useing, every now and then I get an arc where
the hook makes contact with the liner. Is anyone else useing a hook?
Any advice as to what I am doing wrong??
Thanks,

God bless,Keith

I also use hooks I made myself, got a couple.I make them for different size holes so I get a good tight fit between the hook and piece I am anodizing.

Thanks Stan,I will be trying some more in a few days.
I'm going to pay attention to that.

God bless,Keith

I udse a titanium strip with a 0x80 tapped hole and a hole drilled with a no.43 , This lets me for my work create a tight a tight fit. Frank
