Hello to everyone!
So I'm new here and I just saw the discussion of the G20 grinder and I could't help my self to say a few words. Since I'm actually using this grinder for many years.
So I'm a blacksmith and I also make blades beside all other things. I'm using the G20 grinder for about 5 years now and there has been no problems. The grinder has evolved from the one I have but I like it because it's open. The new model has CE certificate that you need in EU and is closed.
The change of the belt is still really easy and fast. The hole side of the grinder opens and than it's almost the same as with the rest of the grinders.
As for the switch, yes it looks a bad location. I have mine as the "C-Craft posted, but still this grinder is closed and when something goes wrong, everything stays in the frame and the switch is still on hand reach ( it was tested for the certificate). The G20 Pro with the speed control has different commands that are easier to reach.
I would like to add that I'm also selling this Grinders in Europe and I'm not writhing this because of sales, but because this is a good Grinder and it did bother me a little that no one could argument this conversation that has tried the grinder because It has been serving me really good all those years. All the customers all happy. In past years hundreds were sold so the reference is not just by my opinion.
As for the comments about frame and vibration. There are u tube videos on Goset G20. I even posted one video with the simple vibration test ( tomtek belt grinder for knife making).
Sorry guys if this information is not important any more, but it's a shame to put bad review on a great grinder
At the beginning when I wanted to buy a grinder, there were only grinders in US. But there is always the shipping cost and the customs. The same If I wanted to ship this grinder to US.
I have the same problem now with the forging powder, that I can only find in US and they don't ship to EU.
If you have some contacts of someone who would ship to EU it would be great
I hope I did't write something that's not inappropriate, and that you will except that this is not a sales promotion, but information from knifemaker to knifemaker.
Tomo
