Just ran into a deal on some olivewood ... did a search here to see how it would look .. REALLY like that natural micarta for liners! I'm headed to get that olivewood as soon as my local woodcraft opens :D

tell me more about the wood. I thought hemp was more of a bush. Kinda soft and porous. It's nice looking.

It is not waterproof and can be stained and sealed.

Easy to work with, seems stable, machines and drills well.
Smells interesting when sanding.
