Hey everyone Black Mamba Knives out of Memphis just got a feature on USA News covering the forge operation and how their Damascus gets made. Worth a read if you care about where Damascus steel actually comes from vs what most sellers are shipping.
The short version: they weld their own Damascus in-house from 1095 and 15N20, heat treat to 58 to 60 HRC, and do every stage under one roof. Backwoods Biker Magazine tested two models and found no issues after a paper-cutting test following extended use.
