PhotoShop Help!!!

I use CS3 and have come to really appreciate how much it can all do. I use Bridge as my primary picture viewer/organizer now. It just works well.

Photoshop is not easy to learn but every part of it you do learn is almost amazing. Using the Auto Adjustments is a really good way to get started quickly.

I use Smart Sharpen on most every pic. Watch for artifacting. It's pretty strong stuff.

Auto color often doesn't work all that well.

under Image>adjustments>shadow highlight is a great tool. Learn that one early. I missed it for several years and now I use it on 75% of my pics if adjusting the sliders on Levels doesn't work well.

Ignore filters, at least at first.

Always record an action (macro) if you are doing a batch of pictures. It's worth doing even for a just a few pics.

Get a cheap DVD tutorial on ebay. Books on PS are over priced and don't help with the quirky interface. Seeing some one do it on video is worth ten times a set of pictures in a book.
