Persimmon

This is the first time I have ever even seen persimmon wood, much less worked with it. It's dense, pretty, and feels good in the hand. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic.

Persimmon is very tough, it is what old golf clubs were made out of. Great looking knife.

As I understand it, persimmon is related to ebony which should make it a fine wood.
