I really like the way that one pin highlights the whole design. It draws my eye right to it in a good way. Visually connecting the bolster to the handle.

I really like the concept and design. I have never made a rawhide sheath. But I have made a few similar with leather face. If you need any help, just ask. Good luck - should be killer.

I've made several rawhide sheaths. Have you decided on the type of rawhide you want to use? I've seen some made from cow rawhide- even some where they basically unwrapped a rawhide chew for material. I like deer rawhide myself - much easier to work with.
I picked up some videos by John Cohea from the Chris Crawford website. Lots of good information there. They're basically veg tanned leather wrapped with deer rawhide and stitched with sinew or waxed thread. Decorate to taste.

Thanks guys. I’ll reach out if needed. I made this one awhile back out of cow hide. I’m going to use goat rawhide on the one I’m thinking about.
The last one turned out ok.
It turned out good - just to heavy imho. The leather wrapped in cowhide was just too bulky and heavy.
