Hey, I'm a student in Tuscaloosa, AL very interested in knife making. I have been doing a lot of research on the subject but would love any advice anyone could give me. I am just beginning to learn about different metals and am not sure where to get them or where to get them heat treated. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks
 
Hi and welcome to KD. You are at the right forum for finding everything you need to know, just brose around a little and all will be revealed.
 
Welcome to KD. If you will click on forums then scroll down you will find a list of suppliers, heat treaters, and about everything else it will take to make a knife. Then go to the Tutorials section and you will see how different makers go about making their knives and about everything to do with them ie., sheaths, kydex, guards, finishes etc.
