You could grind the jimping off using a small wheel and make it a semi-circle cut out or indention for the thumb then it would look intentional.
Haha. If I had a nickle for every time I screwed up, I could make a living at knife making

There is no crying in knife making. Just vast amounts of disappointment when you screw up.

What if you put a very slight thumb curve there without removing the original jimping...and recut it with a triangle file? It would most likely have enough "dip" to the radius to allow you to clean up the double cut portion.I woke up this morning with the intent to move this little knife forward. On inspection I noticed that I screwed up the jimping last night. You can see it right in the middle where the checkering file would overlap when cutting. An ugly double cut. I do not think this knife is worthy of the KITH. I will finish it and see where it goes but I have my doubts.
I like it!Smallshop I just did this to get rid of the ugly.
LOL!! Sweet!they just make design field changes along the way
Looks great! Question. How could not doing a hamon come back to bite you?Made it through heat treatment. On to the temper. I decided to skip the hamon. Might come back to bite me. We shall see.

Gotcha... that’s what I figured, but I wanted to make sure. ThanksWhen it is finished it may have looked better with a hamon. It could come back to bite me.
