Wow some awesome knives. I am a newbee (under 30 knives) but I think these are my favorite.

That's a neat trick on the chef knife. Turned out nice!

I kind of went on an Elk Antler spree this year. Not the best pics, but here are a couple that were a break from my norm. I make a lot of the same knives over and over again because they’re my sellers. I think I’m going to seriously throttle back on orders this year and focus on pushing myself in new directions making the knives I want to make.

Seeing what you build, makes me cringe ever so slightly John. I'm just not on your standard yet, and I am endeavouring to build you a knife...

Thank you!!

As for the name/style, that's a good question. I believe that style comes close to a "Trailing Point" (but not really). Kind of a Trailing Point Bullnose sorta Nessmuk Skinner. It was initially a design from a client and then this knife got further mods from another client who wanted more of a belly on the knife for skinning.

The handle is cocobolo, the accents are brass/black liners and mokume gane. The mokume is actually $4 in quarters stacked, forge welded, and squished a bit.

Basically it's Japanese forging technique with several types of non-ferrous metals that gives a wood grain type of look. Now I don't think stacking and squishing $4 in quarters quite matches up with the old japanese masters but it looks pretty cool!
