Just saying hello

New member here from Alberta, Canada and wanted to introduce myself.

I came accross this forum by chance and liked what I read/saw and wanted to join up.

I have been into knives since I was old enough to own one. I have loved production knives and since then grown into custom knives.

When I first got into buying knives for my everyday use I never thought I would spend more than a $100.00 on a knive. Now it seems like if I spend less than $300.00 I am lucky.

I love anything sharp and pointy and my first custom knive I bought was a Burchtree blade just recently from Blade 2010.

I look forward to getting to know this forum better and getting know know you all.

I share your malaise with the increasing taste for pricier knives. Once you know what goes into them it doesn't feel so much like rationalization, but it can still be a kick in the wallet!
