July 4 Knives

I like it a lot. Looks like you spent some serious time on the blade as well.

What is the handle made from?

I get to try my hand at the forge tomorrow if all goes well!

Charlie, I'm pretty sure the handle is cocobola, I was just playing, wasn't really trying to do a very good job on finish--
just to get the shape and bevels right was all I was really trying to get right.
Wish I had spent more time on fit and finish, it is nowhere
near to my average knife.
I showed it to the owner of the bistro where I got the re-bar and he asked "how much" as he was reaching in his pocket. Lesson learned.

Lookin good Jerry. One if these days I'm gonna have to make it back down to see you. That or you're gonna have to get iff your rump and come to see me. I have just about everything for the shop now. I even got a pail of Parks 50 in last week.
 
I'll be up to see you and all the goodies you got before long.
Right now ,I have a BAD case of "the back",but the law of average will kick in and I'll be able to get around again.
One thing that you gatta know about my forging--I never know what it is "till I get through, but it sure is fun.
