Hopefully I will be ready to present my 5 Knives to the ABS panel of Mastersmiths. I'm planning on the 2010 Blade Show. I plan on getting out to as many Mastersmiths as possible before the blade show. If everthing goes according to plan I will have the other 4 finished by the end of Feb.
I had the good fortune of passing the performance portion last August. Attached is the first of the five. Feel free to critique.

Coffin Fighter / 7 1/2" 1084 differently heat treated
Desert Iron wood handle with Nickel coffin shaped guard
12 1/4" OAl

That is absolutely awesome!! That is a beautiful Iron Wood handle. 4 more of that quality and your in for sure. Very nicely done indeed!

I have been following your work and your performance test on Ed's forum. Everything so far has looked great.

Bing need to start over. Send that one to me and the next four and then start again. I will look these over and tell you what I find in about 20 years from now.

All kidding aside that looks very nice. Could you post pics of your JS test if you have any?
 
Thanks Guys, I will be getting the next one finished up in the next few days.

James, I don't have any pics of the test in other than my mug holding the test knife after I finished. I think it is stil on the camera.

only thing its missing is one of those rounds thingies in front of the handle

Dave, If you are reffering to a ferrel. I didn't think about that. The Ironwood is just to beautiful on its own.
