This is a piece of walnut crotch that i had stabilized. It had a few checks in it so I thought I'd use it on a knife that isn't sold yet. Once I split and cleaned it up, most of the checks are gone, so I decided I would hold it back for something better.
Here are a few blocks I picked up at the ICCE show in Kansas City this past weekend. The top blocks are koa from a box I sent to K&G and they were kind enough to bring with them to the show for me to pick up there. The bottom left 2 blocks are ringed gidgee and the right 2 are ironwood.
This is a block of koa that I just pulled out of the drier tonight. I'll send it in the next batch to K&G for stabilizing.
